MOUNTVIEW, CALIFORNIA: WELCOME to what could be the £3K world’s smallest home and it’s on two-wheels. This micro-gypsy caravan provides the ultimate in flexible work-live space. Measuring only six-feet three inches in length, the house on wheels has a fold out bed, table and portable shower as well as a sun awning on the exterior to protect from the weather. California artist and craftsman Barry Howard built the ‘vardo’ - or gypsy caravan as these vehicles are commonly known - by hand and spent over 18 months living and working in this mini home. He then sold to retired hairdresser and artist Nikki Hackborn (48) for £3K, who now uses it as a way of promoting artwork and artists in her local area of Mountain View, California.
