Chinese Lanterns at the Montreal Botanical Gardens. Quebec - Canada. The Garden of Mythical Creatures is a magical place filled with stories of ancient people, myths, legends and mythical creatures. Legend has it that a poor boy loved learning and wanted to read at night but his family could not afford an oil lamp. The boy, caught many fireflies in a cloth bag, making a firefly lamp so that he could read.
