Juvenile xanthogranuloma. 15-month-old girl with juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) on her scalp (upper centre). JXG is a skin disorder and the most frequent cause of spontaneous hyphema, which can result in secondary glaucoma and eventual blindness. JXG is thought to result from a disordered macrophage (histiocyte) response to nonspecific tissue injury, which results in a granulomatous reaction, ultimately causing skin lesions.
