Obie Powell, Farah Forward Surgical Team (FST) general surgeon, performs a hydrocelectomy to Samadine Udine, 6, from Shorabad village in Farah Province, at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Farah, Afghanistan, April 10, 2010. The surgical procedure was conducted by the FST and a local Afghan physician as a way to provide mentoring and joint learning opportunities.
