Otto I (1815-1867). King of Greece (1832-62), second son of Ludwig I of Bavaria. He received the Greek crown after the Treaty of London (1832). Although the Greek National Assembly recognized him as king (August 1832), was hated because of their Germanic origin. Engraving.
