An Ottoman silver-mounted yatagan,dated 1790. Lightly curved,single-edged blade of characteristic form with silver-inlaid ornaments on one side. The other face bears inscription cartouches in silver inlay with maker's and owner's name as well as the date "1205"(= 1790). The hilt decorated with corals and filigree,slightly damaged on one side. Riveted ivory gripscales. The scabbard made from silver chased with geometrical and floral designs(small crack on the reverse side),with wooden insert.
