Chongqing, China, satellite image. Chongqing, in southwest-central China, covers an area of over 80,000 square kilometres and is the largest municipality in China. It is the biggest automobile manufacturing base in China. The Yangtze River (brown) is at right, the Jialing River is at upper centre. The city is surrounded by mountains, with the Daba Mountains in the north, the Wu Mountains in the east, the Wuling Mountains in the southeast and the Dalou Mountains in the south. Data obtained by the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite.
