7m diameter moon installation by Luke Jerram hung from the ceiling of Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire. It features NASA imagery of the moon's surface.


The moon was installed for the CAthedral's Science Festival. The Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork by UK Artist Luke Jerram. The moon features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface at a scale of 1:500,000, with each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture representing 5 km of the moon's surface. The Museum of the Moon is touring the UK at both indoor and outdoor venues. The installation is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning composer Dan Jones
