Great white pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) with its bill open to allow its young to feed. It has brought half-digested fish back from another lake. The great white pelican produces two or three eggs that hatch after an incubation period of over 30 days. It lives in large colonies in Africa and Eurasia, feeding almost exclusively on fish which it catches by plunging its large bill into the water. Photographed in Nakuru, Kenya.
