FORT IRWIN, Calif. – Troopers assigned to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment prepare a casualty to be medevac’d from the objective after capturing key terrain during an air assault raid at the National Training Center, Dec. 6, 2016. The Blackhorse Regiment partnered with the 2916th Aviation Battalion, 916th Support Brigade, to conduct the planning and execution of the AASLT mission in order to validate the standard operating procedures of the battalion, enhance the units understanding of aviation capabilities, and solidify the relationship between the two Fort Irwin units.
