White Strand of the Monks, a white sandy beach at the north east tip of Iona, Inner Hebrides, Scotland, UK

Sandy beach at the North East tip of Iona. It took its name "White Strand of the Monks" from the killing here of Iona's abbot and fifteen monks by Norse pirates in 986. Looking northwards over the Isle of Storm (Eilean Annraidh), to Staffa, Ulva and the mountains of northern Mull.
