Android's vision. The world as seen from the 'eyes' of Cog, a robot android developed as part of artificial intelligence (AI) research. Cog, short for cognitive, has a human-like face with four cameras for eyes. The different fields of vision provided by these cameras can be seen here. Cog can co-ordinate its hearing and visual systems to pinpoint a noise source. It can make eye contact with humans and track a moving object. This android can be used to study how humans learn through interactions with other people. Cog was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
