One fault this tree has, its branches easily break off from weight of snow, and thus oftep leave l^rge scars upon th^ trunk. The fruit is green, with some russetly browp, tender, rather juicy, gritty at the core, with few or no seeds, quite free from astringency, n^ild and pleasant, though npt tp say buttery.
