Augustus Saint-Gaudens was the preeminent sculptor of the United States in the mid 19th to the early 20th centuries. His home and studios in Cornish New Hampshire was a mecca for leading artists during that period and was where he created many major works. It is now a National Historic Park and administered by the National Park Service.
