Infection is then too probable. Portions of cartilage taken from the patients ribs or ear,pieces of bone from the forehead, tibia, ulna, ilium, a finger ortoe, may be implanted in the soft tissues used to repair the , if aseptic, become incorporated, and may give permanentrigidity to the newly made nose. Such organic implantations arepreferable to inorganic implantations or supports of celluloid ormetal. The method of Keegan, whose service in India gave unusualopportunity for practical experienc
