The rally called by the Madrid Anti-Repressive Movement platform this Wednesday in Sol against the imprisonment of rapper Pablo Hasel has led to clashes between a part of the protesters gathered there and the National Police agents deployed in the area. The rally began in a peaceful and festive atmosphere, surrounded by a notable police force. But late in the afternoon, a part of those present began to insult the agents shouting 'policemen out of our streets' or 'Nazi by day, by night Police'. The spirits have been heating up when some rioters have confronted the police, at whom they have thrown various objects, such as cobblestones, wastebaskets and other elements of urban furniture. The destruction produced in the square and nearby roads is numerous, among them several shop windows and the dome of the access to the Cercanías de Sol station. In some of the streets that converge at Puerta del Sol, the violent have burned containers to make barricades. The Police have had to charge to repel the attacks. At least 14 people have been arrested and five officers have been injured. The mobilization had been announced on social networks under the slogan 'Kidnapped by the State, Everyone on the street! Let's win their freedom! ' Before the riots, the assistants insistently chanted 'Libertad, Pablo Hasel'. In addition, many of them have carried banners with slogans such as' Kidnapped by the State, Everyone to the street! Let's conquer their freedom! ' or 'Pablo Hasel, Freedom. Out with Franco's Justice '. Many other posters featured pictures of faces with their mouths covered with a cross.
