An Indian Muslim devotee seen preparing their Iftar meal to be distributed for breaking the fast during the holy month of Ramadan at a mosque in Kolkata. During the holy month of Ramdan Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex from dawn to sunset. The fast is intended to bring the faithful closer to God and to remind them of the sufferings of the less fortunate. The fast-breaking meal is eaten after sunset and it’s called Iftar.
