The Airmen are loadmasters from Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Southern Command is deploying assets to Haiti to conduct search and rescue operations, damage assessments, and transitions sustained Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations in order to prevent human suffering and additional loss of life.
