Alicja Tysiac won her case against Polish State in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. She were denied an access to abortion although the pregnancy posed a real threat to her health. European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg decided that Poland has violated Article 8 Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (Right to respect for private and family life)
