MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Dec. 10, 2016) Senior Chief Daniel Buda, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), makes blended coffee drinks in the ship's chiefs mess. Buda serves onboard Nitze as a sonar technician and is responsible for ship surveillance and operating sonar equipment. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
