Kenkoji Temple Garden - Shunmyo Masuno calls his works "expressions of mind" and they have the power to stir up depths of emotion and even tap into the subconscious. They are not paintings,, nor are they virtual reality installations -- they are gardens. Masuno, who creates them, is a Buddhist priest. Known for his contemporary Japanese garden designs, Masuno, the head priest of Kenkoji Temple in Yokohama, is celebrated as one of the world's leading landscape designers. The official name of Kenkohji is Tokuyuu-zan Zuiun-in Kenkohzenji. The temple was originally built in 1560 by Terao Umanosuke.
