He married, JuneI, 1S69, in New York, Gertrude, daughter of JohnAustin Stevens, who was for many years Presidentof the National Bank of Commerce. Mr. Rice wasat one time Treasurer of the Somerset Club, Boston,and later one of the Governors of the Union Club,New York City.
