View from the Sacro Monte Varese or Santa Maria del Monte from the end of the Sacred way, in front of the medieval village church, with below the Po Valley, the town of Varese and in the background Milan city with its skyscrapers in the haze. Sacro Monte of Varese is located in the Regional Park Campo dei Fiori. In 2003 entered from UNESCO in list of World Heritage. The old village, with its 14 Chapels winding along a pebbly path of about 2 km, is probably the most fascinating Marian itinerary in the world
