Örsj, Örebro - Svartå Railway, was inaugurated with 175 specially invited guests including Prince Eugen and Country Govers Axel G. Sveltius. Örsj never drove any traffic on the track, but it was handled by Köping-Hults rail (KHJ) of 50 years contract. On October 1, 1897, the path for public traffic was opened. KHJ changed its name to Örebro-Köpings Railway (ESCH) on November 1, 1897.
