In June 2011, I visited Sukhothai, the antique capital of the Siam's Kingdom, today one of the most important historical parks of Thailand, and the main symbol of the budhism in the country. The monsoon season was arriving, and there was not so many nice days for photographing; too much wind and clouds blocking the sun. I stayed more than a week waiting for the right moment, going until the park trying to find a good spot for a symbolical picture. The day of this shot it was very special - the sunshine appeared in the end of the afternoon and the wind was gone. The buddhists say: Thought is like a lake: when the surface is placid and calm, everything is reflected clearly. But when the thought gets bumpy, we are unable to see clearly our true nature. Trying to reproduce this thought, I turned down the image, making a photographic metaphor between Sukhothai and buddhist philosophy. I can feel now, writing this description, that I found the real sense of this place, and a little bit about myself, such as a man and as a photographer.” (Nikon D700 Digital Camera, 20mm lens, exposure at second, )
