2 February 2013, Aberystwyth, Wales. On the same spot, supporters commemmorate fifty years since the first ever act of civil disobedience by the Welsh Language Society, Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, on Trefechan Bridge, Aberystwyth. Current protests target the Welsh Assembly Government for their perceived failure to act in the interests of the language, following disappointing census results. Police closed the bridge to traffic to allow the symbolic rally to take place.
