Prospect Cottage the former home of the late artist and film director Derek Jarman at Dungeness on Romney Marshes Kent The house is built of tarred timber with a raised wooden text on one wall which is the first stanza and the last five lines of the last stanza of John Donne's poem, The Sun Rising. The famous dry shingle garden is photographed with his many sculptures made from iron and driftwood. The area is a SSSI or site of special scientific interest for its delicate shingle based ecosystem, Proudly gay, Jarman moved to the cottage as he struggled against AIDS and found solice in tending the beautiful windswept garden is photographed with a piece of driftwood in a ring of plants
