GULF OF THAILAND (June 17, 2018) CDR Todd Penrod greets CAPT Yuthanvi Mungthanya, deputy chief of staff, Thai Royal Navy in the helocpter hangar of the Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2018. The Multilateral (CARAT) exercise, in its 2nd iteration and involving the , Singapore and Thailand, is designed to enhance mutual capabilities in a broad spectrum of naval warfare that enable partner navies to operate effectively together as a unified maritime force.
