Airmen from the 823rd Red Horse Squadron pull a boat full of rocks toward the "living shoreline" project Aug. 24 along the Eglin Air Force Base coastline. The goal of the project to build an artificial reef along 1,400 linear feet of Eglin shoreline is to protect against erosion. Volunteers from base agencies have completed 450 feet using more than 60 tons of limestone rock. ( Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
