A white stork (Ciconia ciconia) calls out while sitting in its nest in Alcantara, Spain. The bird makes a loud clacking noise.

The stork is a common sight in the Extremadura district of Spain. The birds visit the region on their migratory path. The convent where this bird nests was founded in 1218 by the Alcántara Military Order and the current building dates to the sixteenth century and now serves as the headquarters of the San Benito de Alcántara Foundation.
