The Harpole Village Scarecrow Festival raises funds for a variety of village charities and community projects, it was started in 1997 to raise funds for the village church of All Saints. Rain is forecast for this afternoon so people are out mid morning while its still dry and sunny. The event over the weekend attracts over 10,000 visitors into the village each year.
