AMERICAN FLAG.—A strong, vigorous grower and pro- fuse bloomer; very fragrant. The color is distinct from any other variety, being regularly striped, vivid scarlet and white. 3. ROSE QUEEN.—Color soft, pure rose, so much admired by cut flower purchasers: flowers large and well formed. The rais- ers (Messrs. Simmons) say this is the healthiest and cleanest growing Carnation to their knowledge. 4. METEOR.—Deep brilliant crimson scarlet; medium sized bloom, Hi to 3 inches, on a firm, strong stem; plant free, vigor- ous grower, clean foliage. 5. BRIDESMAID.—Large size flowers, 2% to 3y inches, borne on very strong, stiff stems; color a very even shade of bright clear pink, fully as pleasing as the Bridesmaid Rose. 6.
