Many of DPAC's disabled protesters refused to move and a few reamined blocking the roadway almost two hours after the protest began. On the day of the opening ceremony for the Paralympics in Rio they called for the new Prime Minister to make public the findings of the UN investigation of UK violations of Deaf and Disabled people’s rights, to scrap the Work Capability Assessment and to end cuts and sanctions which are killing the disabled.
