Quentin Fenderson, the command team of the 3rd Infantry Division, join other 3rd ID leadership in exchanging “fist bumps” with the departing Soldiers of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team as they board a plane to the Army Europe and Africa area of operations, from Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, Feb. 27, 2022. The 1st ABCT, 3rd ID is the major unit of the 7,000 service members ordered to deploy by Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III to enhance deterrence of Russia.
