Pollard, of South Attleboro, Mass.,is in the poultry business for profit and gets abigger share of it than most men would thinkpossible. It is an intensely interesting study togo over the experience of a practical man such asPollard, and note the steady growth of his busi-ness, which, from an almost insignificant begin-ning has assumed vast proportions. Mr. Pollardis a poultryman, and not even a cow is to be foundon his farm, because a cow is neither a duck nora hen. In the Pollard poultry plant Mr. Pollard hasembodied original ideas and success has demon-strated the value of them. His incubator cellarcan take care of 20 incubators. It is now partlyfilled with Cyphers Incubators. On a small plateau extending back from thefarm buildings is a long hot-water-pipe brooderhouse for ducklings and chicks, the eastern two-thirds of the house being arranged for ducklings,and the western third for chicks.
