Winter night sky over the Haleakala Crater on Maui, Hawaii. The bright star at lower right is Sirius. Above and to Sirius's left is the constellation Orion. Sirius and Rigel (the upper right star of Orion) form part of the winter hexagon, along with Aldebaran (orange, upper centre right), Capella (large star at centre left), Pollux (lower left) and Procyon (bottom centre). Also seen us the zodiacal light (white triangular glow) and the Milky Way.
