Hook Lighthouse at the eastern entrance to Waterford Harbour, also known as Hook Head Lighthouse is situated at the tip of the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford, Ireland. Built in the 12th Century, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and the second oldest operating lighthouse in the world. It is operational and operated by the Commissioners of Irish Lights, the Irish Lighthouse Authority.
