St. Simon's Island Lighthouse on St Simon's Island off the coast of Georgia.


St Simon's Island Lighthouse on St Simon's Island off the coast of Georgia was built on 1872, replacing an earlier lighthouse built in 1810. It is presently owned and managed by the Coastal Georgia Historical Society, with the light managed by the Coast Guard. It is still an active aid to navigation.
