Where the soil is good these will bear from May to December. The plants are very large and thrifty. They stand drouth well, but should be watered in the hot summer. In this time I have learned that it pays to set the kinds that will bear the quickest. There are some kinds of apples that it will take the trees ten years to come into profitable bearing.
