An old engraving of the London Bridge, River Thames, London, England, UK in c. 1760. It is from a Victorian history book of Men are working aboard a variety of vessels on the water. The bridge is shown it as it appeared in the mid-18th century, when it was crowded with houses and towers, several storeys high. This is around the time that structural changes were made (1758–1762). Houses were removed and the two central arches were replaced by a single span.
