The south doorway of the Norman church of St John, Pauntley, Gloucestershire - beside Pauntley Court, the childhood home of Dick Whittington, Lord Mayor of London. The doorway is described by David Verey as having "Shafts with the Dymock type of capital with tongued volutes, a chevroned arch with billet hood-mould, and a fish-scale tympanum under a segment of pellet mouldings and over a diapered lintel".
