This bronze medal with his head in profile and words "Matthias Rex Hungariae" (Matthias, King of Hungary). Matthias was said to have ruled a "European superpower" by the end of his reign. His many wars were paid for by taxing the peasants heavily. This medal was by an Italian artisan unknown to us today.
