Clara D'Orville Gorham (1833-1920). Born Clara Dorville Morton, she married British entomologist Henry Stephen Gorham (1839-1920). Her diaries for the period 1866 to 1907 are held at the Bodleian Library, Oxford. This oil-on-canvas painting, by Hely Augustus Morton Smith (1862-1941), dates from circa 1905.
