War Memorial to railwaymen killed in both World Wars outside Euston Station, London, England
This war memorial outside the approach to Euston Station, London, is dedicated to the employees of the London & North Western Railway (L&NWR) who gave their lives in the Great War and those of the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), of which the L&NWR became part, who died during the Second World War. It takes the form of an obelisk on a pedestal mounted on a circular base and was unveiled by Field Marshall Douglas Haig on 21st October 1921. Designed by R W Owen, the corner butresses are surmounted by figures representing a soldier, a sailor, an airman and an artilleryman.
