Here the dominant forms were Chaetoceros socialis, Thallassiosira antarctica and Chaetoceros ; Fig. 28 shows that it was at the stations where Chaetoceros socialis and Thallassiosira antarctica were most abundant that the young krill reached its greatest average length.
