A heavy Late Gothic war hammer, Italian, circa 1480 A heavy iron hammer head with remnants of gilding. The slightly curved, quadrangular beak has remnants of vine engraving on the upper half. The hammer on the back is split into four. The sides are chiselled with leaf decoration. The point and side surfaces are set with conical, fluted studs. Replacement wooden handle with four languets.
