The LARGEST wall of Virginia Creeper in Britain has turned a spectacular blaze of red as the country looks forward to another day of warm weather, with highs of magnificent 170-year-old ivy on the back of the building at St John's College in Cambridge is changing from green to scarlet as the students return for their first week of quarters of the creeper, which covers New Court and was planted in the 1830's, has now turned into splendid shades of crimson and the rest is expected to follow this week."The creeper looks absolutely amazing at the moment, particularly when the sun is shining on the red leaves," said Sarah Parker, from Cambridge."I've heard the college rooms opposite the creeper are some of the most popular because of the lovely view of the vine."
