To the rear of the parlor, entry to which is hadthrough a swinging door at the extreme left, is thesmoking and observation room, which is 16 ft. 6 This room is, as its name implies, largely madeup of windows, and is provided with the same formof easy chair as the parlor compartment, ten being fur-nished. The wide corner seat is luxuriously upholsteredwith a convenient small, round table. The observationroom, as is the whole car, is hansomely carpeted andhas an aisle strip in addition.
