This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Venus Express spacecraft. Computer artwork of the European Space Agency (ESA) Venus Express spacecraft orbiting the planet Venus. This orbiter will study the Venusian atmosphere, in particular how the upper atmosphere interacts with the solar winds. The Venus Express mission was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on 9 November 2005. It is scheduled to arrive at Venus about five months later, in 2006.
