ARNOLD, 16-18-20-22 S. Peoria St, CHICAGO GRAND BAPIDS,- MICH. A Wind Storm. July was ushered in witli a hot, dry spell, which culminated in a cy- clone on the morning of July 13, doing about $150,000 worth of damage, up- rooting trees, blowing in windows, blowing down chimneys, taking the root off the grand stand of the ball park and carrying it over into the market, 400 feet off, smashing and overturn- ing fruit wagons, automobiles, etc. There was a stampede of market wag- ons, and several horses were killed. Seventeen people were hurt and sent to the hospital; two of them may die. The city greenhouses, at John Ball park, were riddled; the large brick chimney was blown down and havoc reigned.
